The basketball wheelchair is designed to facilitate rapid movement for the fast-paced game, with angled wheels so that the player can turn easily. It is fitted with a front bumper to prevent the ball rolling under the wheelchair, whilst also providing an element of protection from contact with other players. It is in line with IWBF standards with the permitted anti-tip wheel and the absence of brakes.
